A MOUTH-EAR CONNECTION

A MOUTH-EAR CONNECTOR

In one of her famous replies,

His wife didn’t like his sighs…

While he began seething

She claimed that his breathing

Overrode hearing her cries.

She asked for fig newtons last night

But he brought home treats hard-to-bite…

He denied her asking,

She took him to tasking

For not hearing anything right!

At the time he was rather put out

That he scowled and put on a pout

And sighed, one more thing

She wants me to bring

And remember when I’m out.

When he got to the store that night

He couldn’t remember in spite

Of her loving reminders

As if he had blinders,

He went through and bought what he might.

So today she objects to his sighs

And says she wants him other-wise…

How to explain

The paycheck’s the same,

That’s what his frustration belies.
