To The Silence Roar
Old and weary here I lie upon the dusty land.
Here I lie remembering with bible in my hand.
Here I lie forevermore, listening to the silence roar.
Here I lie forevermore, listening to the silence roar.
The light has gone, the warmth turned cold.
The sweet is bitter, the youth is old.
My eyes can’t see, my lips can’t speak.
My ears can’t hear, my strength is weak.
Here I lie forevermore, listening to the silence roar.
Here I lie forevermore, listening to the silence roar.
The wind with her whispering as she dims out the light.
Please spare and old man his last breath of life.
Here I lie forevermore, listening to the silence roar.
Here I lie forevermore…

the sadness of this poem bites!
