MISTAKEN COMPLAINT
She liked his poetry once,
But it had been quite a while…
She held ‘gainst him no affronts
And in fact liked his style.
-
He sought a colleague of her’s
To act as a go-between…
To ask the question that he most feared,
Was it he that had done the wrong thing?
-
He knew complaints among workers
Are not always handled direct…
Sometimes they go through “channels”,
For anything deemed suspect.
-
An entry in the HR Inbox
He assumed probably was from her…
So relieved to hear it wasn’t,
A positive note he’d prefer.
-
So he has her permission for sharing
His gift with another dear soul…
Like the one who helped him clear the air,
He hoped she wouldn’t find his verse droll!
