At twenty was a district adjutant

This made him Major Washington.

At twenty-one in Fredericksburg

He became a Master Mason.

Married Martha Dandridge Custis

January sixth in fifty-nine.

Made their home at Mt.Vernon

To retire was on his mind.

Unanimously elected

President in seventeen-eighty nine.

Received 100% electoral votes

No one else has since that time.

On April thirtieth took the oath

As our nation’s first president.

A second term refused a third

Which became law by the 22^nd Amendment.

A central, critical figure in the forming

Of the United States of America.

One of the major founding fathers

First in war or peace he over saw.

Led the Continental Army to victory

Over the Kingdom of Great Britain.

An exemplary figure made him

One of our greatest politician.

As one of the top three U.S.Presidents.
