Drift Away

Just relax and close your eyes and try and drift away.
To exotic places, another time, to another day.
To enchanted islands with sky blue sea.
With palm trees blowing gently in the breeze.
With sun so hot and sands are white.
Just lost in time with romantic nights.
Slowly walking hand and hand.
Leaving footprints in the sand.
As we walk just further on.
We turn and look the footprints are gone.
You realize it was the oceans wave.
Rolled on the beach and took them away.
Much like life as each day pass.
Are gone forever won’t get them back.
Left are the memories of gone by years.
And tomorrows filled with hope and fear.
Whether you dream of oceans or mountaintops of white.
Or just your favorite place to be while you live your life.
