A neighbor of mine was complaining
About unusual distaining…
Some one annoted
Harassment devoted
Of his especially pertaining.
He claims joking with Irene
The Office Manager wasn’t obscene,
But some have construed
His banter too crude…
In fact it was rather too mean.
These ladies, whomever they be,
Pass notes anonymously
Underneath the door
Of the man they deplore
Unsigned, yet written neatly,
The man strongly suspects
These personalized character pecks
Are due to a group
Who like to snoop
And gossip as their propriety directs.
The office joking overheard
Is likely why they had a bird…
But to prove or accuse
The man will lose,
Most likely portrayed as absurd.
For ladies who have naught to do…
One hopes they would not count as true
Things out of context
To wish the “fiend” hexed,
A loud but very neighborly dude!

As to the results…I don’t know yet! As the poem says, it’s pretty hard to face one’s accusers when they won’t face you (or him) and even if he knew…there’s a perceived bias toward the female for anything involving sexual harassment…or supposed harassment. So, someday we may see—or not!
