PESKY PUSSYCAT

PESKY PUSSYCAT

My pussycat uses his claws

Pulling on my hand with paws

As if to ask

To be picked up fast,

His teasing points out my skin flaws.

So I sweep him up in my grasp

And he hops down almost as fast….

Preferring to purr

Distantly as it were,

While his tail my leg lightly taps.

This behavior I’ve not figured out

In all the years he’s been about…

He teases for “up”

And just as abrupt,

Turn his back to me, purring it out.
