One hears Alaska has snow

Each week, two feet or so,

The jet stream has bent

So more snow is sent

Northward than would normally go.

Alaska and Canada too

Have much more to wallow through…

They’re hiring snow plowers

To dig out for hours

So building roofs will not fall through.

Brave seamen in icy waters

Cut passages near iceberg daughters…

With Russian reprise

Oil supplies won’t freeze,

It will be warm for Nome sons and daughters.
