Stand Brave and Bold
Don’t worry about the wrong others do this day;
Like the grass they will wither and pass away.
In all you do trust the Lord doing what is right;
Delight in His precepts by day and by night.
Walk in the ways of the Lord; He will prove true:
In His righteous vindication will come to you.
Don’t fret when it looks like evil men succeed,
For the fiery wrath of God judges their deed.
Refrain from your anger, don’t fall into that sin;
For the Son of God came that you might win.
The plans of evil men will perish at God’s hand;
And those who hope in the Lord will rule the land.
Those who plot and scheme will be brought down;
You can look here and there but none will be found.
The upright and meek will enjoy God’s peace;
While the days of the wicked soon will cease.
The wicked strive the kill the humble and poor;
But the Lord knows soon their day will be no more.
Their evil will consume them with lust and greed;
But the righteous upon God’s sweet love will feed.
Now consider the blameless, observe the upright;
Turn from those evil ways and do what is right.
In times of trails and troubles He is your stronghold,
In Him alone is there salvation; stand brave and bold.
