THY NEIGHBOR’S FEET

THY NEIGHBOR’S FEET

(John 13:1-17)

Christ taught to wash brethren feet,

A chore that’s rarely been sweet…

In between the toes

No treat for the nose,

But without which our job’s incomplete.

Distasteful though it may seem,

Foot washing shows others esteem…

In what you do

The Lord Christ shines through,

So glorify Him by your being.

GO NOW—wash footies today,

Don’t worry if you’re hit by spray…

While washing the crew

Your heart is cleansed too,

Get closer to Christ and obey!
