A wish for my brother

Good Morning Wish by rl dubour 

The first thing I do each morning when I get out of bed.
I thank the Lord I’m still alive and did not wake up dead.

My thoughts all soar upward, to heaven high above.
I softly say, “Good morning Lord, Bless everyone I love.”

Right away I thought of you and said a loving prayer.
“That He would specially bless you, with His loving care.”

I wish that you get better and a whole lot more.
I pray because I love you, it’s you I’m praying for!

I pray for you dear brother, the news was bad I know.
Pray that you not suffer, as the tears of life will flow.

I have fought and won most battles, faced my every foe.
This time I feel so helpless; only have my love to show.

Tomorrow is unknown, not for us to see.
Don’t know when the angels come, to fill our destiny.

“For you dear brother Tom…my love will not diminish
Until we meet, for now this is… my good morning wish.”
