The Loss

Our life we live is far to short.
As each new day brings un-chartered course.
Love as each day is your last.
We just don’t know when life will pass.
Whether it be you or me.
So it is written, so it will be.
There is not one thing that we can do.
It’s up to God and He will choose.
So many loved ones we have lost.
Our grief and sorrow we pay the cost.
Yet, they are not that far away.
For in our memories they forever stay.
Make sure you tell the ones you love.
Before you make that journey high above.
Just don’t assume they already know.
Don’t be afraid to let your feelings show.
Tell those you love with all your heart.
For will they know? When you do part.
Will they know how much you cared?
And the life they helped you to share?
Be thankful for that someone you know.
Cared enough to tell you so.
For where they have gone it’s paradise.
And we are left to pay the price.
So tell the one your thinking of.
Don’t be afraid to show your love.
