THE STORM TOOK A “LEAP”

THE STORM TOOK A “LEAP”

by Jonathan Caswell

—-

It’s a short way to “slipperary”

When one is driving in snow…

Some people tend to drive crazy,

You’d think ’cause they live here they’d know!

A Leap Day snow is upsetting

To betters wanting us free

Of white stuff before March sledding

To round out “clear” February.

The jet stream did us great harm,

So the salters and plow folk attest…

But for folks who hate winter driving

This winter has been the best.

Off white and grey through the snow flakes,

City lights are softened in snow…

‘Tis pretty with snow all around us

As forward is slush we go.

A big storm petered out early

As the air stayed above thirty-two…

In a couple of days with temperatures raised

This Christmas-like snow will bw through.

  1. good write, people tend to forget how to drive everyday and much worse when snow is on the roads

    • Ah but wasn’t it BEAUTIFUL…until the crazy people came along?

  2. I agree with a lot of what you’re saying here but it could do with more detail. Thats whats cool about working with computers. They dont argue, they remember everything and they dont drink all your beer. Attributed to Paul Leary
