IT’S JUST A JOB

IT’S JUST A JOB

By Jonathan Caswell

Someone at work wanted just to vent,

Complaining of a co-worker bent

On causing her much pain,

Though she tried to refrain

From telling him where he already went!

I had to empathize with her impasse,

For I worked with several pains who were crass…

So I stood and listened

As her eyes almost glistened,

At the end of the shift this too will pass.
