POT PIE PHILOSOPHICAL

POT PIE PHILOSOPHICAL

He’s philosophical on pot pies,

The cheaper ones realize…

Gravy and pastry,

Peas, carrots and maybe

Some meat diced for well-seeing eyes!

The better ones cook for longer

And will power has to be stronger…

To  eat one half-raw

Would be the last straw,

Unless eaten by a “King Kong-er”.

For five minute times I’m hooked,

Where even the bottom is cooked…

‘Though some gravy dries

Thickening—no surprise—

But eating just one we feel rooked!
