SUR-PRISE!!!

My wife sleeps in her recliner,

Thus her breathing is easier and finer…

Tippie Cat stays near

Waking her up with cheer,

We call him the two AM diner.

Recently when she’s woken up

He’s been drinking from her teacup…

Sometimes, alack,

It’s after his snack,

And she doesn’t want stuff in her cup.

I’ve tried to set her cup by his dish

But it’s not the way he would wish…

Just on my wife’s lap

He’ll stretch out and tap

Her tea to drink a good swish!
