THE LAST TOUCH

THE LAST TOUCH

The day crew left for the night,

Just briefly in my sight

Was a poetry-phile

I knew for a while

Who appreciated a good write.

She said it was her last day…

We shook hands, she went away,

With one last smile

It was worth the while

For each other, with no more to say.
