HEREDITARY QUESTION

HEREDITARY QUESTION

By Jonathan Caswell

Some tastes genetically determined

In school are presented and ermined…

As proof that our genes

Determine some things,

When produced by an egg and a sperm, in.

That is, some families

Pass on certain qualities…

That not all folks get

Automatically, yet

Are seldom due to outward frivolities.

He spoke of a particular taste

Of a beverage oft drunk in haste…

He’ll swear it in court

He’s not making sport,

His taste for the stuff has erased!

He’d like the taste stronger and stronger

But has yet to find a syrup monger…

Who will sell him a keg

He can borrow or beg,

Recreating the old memories longer.
