DON’T ENCOURAGE THEM!
by Jonathan Caswell
A work mate of mine was complaining
How drivers needed restraining,
From fast-changing lanes
And causing him pains…
His commute was an ordeal rather draining.
–
I let his rant go on,
Then challenged…how did he respond…
He’d fly by a winger
And give them the finger
And then THEY’D REACT–far beyond!
–
Well if you give them the “finger”, I said,
Why be surprised they want you dead…
He responded, of course,
When it came to force,
He wanted his reactions read.
–
Reporting them to a trooper
Seemed to him just “super”…
Troopers followed him
It seemed, on a whim,
Following the book for him was no recouper.
–
So I asked, why aggravate them more,
Trying hard to even up the score…
The result was an impasse,
He wouldn’t agree that his blast
Wasn’t worth the chance they’d target him some more.
–
But the man had a valid point,
Why his nose was out of joint…
The lady fingered
Had a back seat youngster
Who experienced all this—the sad point!
