FAIRY DUST
Light yellow fairy dust drifts
Downward as near-summer grips…
Temperatures higher
While songbirds like lyres,
Illuminate musical riffs.
–
This fairy dust washes away,
Or nearly so, on rainy days…
It swirls in gutters
And clings to home shutters,
Wherever it “wants” to stay.
–
This “fairy dust” won’t last for long,
Till another kind comes not as strong…
Each lasts just a while,
Some find it a trial
To keep the stuff out of the lung.

Yeah. Pine Tree Pollen…but doesn’t it remind you of Dick Van Dyke as Bert the Chimney Sweep in Disney’s MARY POPPINS, singing…”Up where the smoke is all billered and curled…”?
