Raindrops
Pitter-patter, pitter-patter…can’t sleep…toss and turn.
Awakened by the raindrops…a song that I must learn.
I thought…this melody I hear… have never heard before.
Is this the night the angels come?…Come knocking at my door.
Is this the night I say good-bye?…that’s when the tears begin.
Pitter-patter, pitter-patter…crying is not a sin.
I hear singing with the raindrops…this all must be a dream.
My angel stands before me…sent from heaven it does seem.
Now my eyes are open wide…she offers me her hand.
“Come stand here by my side…I will help you understand.”
I find myself next to her… I reach to hold her hand.
My feet no longer touch the floor…no longer mortal man.
I turn to face my body…lying cold and still.
I look into my angel’s eyes…her smile warms the chill.
I hear her say now is the time…you must come with me.
Take this moment to say good-bye…to your loving family.
I kissed them all so gently…not to wake them from their sleep.
“Dad will be gone when you awake…my children please don’t weep.”
I stand before my precious wife…too hard to say farewell.
She given me her life complete with love no words can tell..
I wiped the tears drops from my eyes and touch them to her face.
Promising to wait for her…I give my last embrace.
Pitter-patter, pitter-patter…the rhythm of the rain.
It’s not a sin for man to cry…it helps to heal the pain.
Heart-felt…thank you! But those little editing tidbits spoiled all but the last stanza!

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.
