THREE BROTHERS

THREE BROTHERS

Three brothers together stood,

‘Though not related by blood…

      Together they share

      ‘Tween the lines unaware,

A common brotherhood.

Three brothers, different all,

One short, one tall, one a “ball”…

      Despite different sizes

      Each one surmises

His place among the others and call.

Three brothers not always the same,

Working at one job with one name…

Growing closer each one to the “middle”

Sometimes in the fire, off the griddle,

Together separately at the game.
