TODAY I LOST MY BRAKES.

TODAY I LOST MY BRAKES

Today I lost my brakes,

Didn’t crash, for goodness sakes…

      The hand brake held

      Without a mind meld,

Do you see what fortitude takes?

My partner will drive me back,

Following the tow truck’s track…

      To the shop where

      I’ll have it repaired,

In the meantime, a car I’ll lack.

I hope a friend will provide

A to-and-from-ride…

      I’d feel like a jerk

      To miss out on work,

Without it how can we survive?

There must’ve been a quick angel hunt

So I’d miss the car in front…

At the bottom of the ramp,

      (Were his spark plugs damp?)

I stopped safe with nary a bump!

I praise God for His good training

And my profane wordage restraining…

      I got on my way

      Saying, “PRAISE FOR THIS DAY”,

God’s blessings around me are raining!
