FIREWORKS WITH MUSIC


FIREWORKS WITH MUSIC?

Who had the idea

Or thought it pretty,

To play music  along

With fireworks in a city?

–

With booming overhead,

Isn’t that the idea…

To hear and see and smell

From all around, not a bud inside the ear.!

–

My folks and I on a hill

Could see the city o’er…

We had no music to drown out

The city-wide flash and roar.

–

So let the band strike up again

When watching from afar…

I guess we’re not allowed to hear

Fireworks as they really are!
