A NEW SOFT SHOE
Instead of a funny dance,
Last time we both got some pants…
And shirts to wear
Our friend, Deb, was there,
A kindness of God advanced.
–
This time she stopped by with Good News,
She’d found a great buy on sport shoes…
We got a pair each,
She didn’t have to preach
But embodied a blessing to choose.
–
The rest of the shoes in her car,
Men’s women’s and kid’s will go far…
To a giving festival
That’s giving away all,
To those who are economically scarred.
–
We wanted to pay back somehow,
But we just have to accept for now…
In God’s economy
Blessing is timely,
Maybe another field we can plow.
