FIRST IN SEVENTEEN YEARS

(GOOGLE IMAGES…not an exact likeness of our cat!)

FIRST IN SEVENTEEN YEARS!

I gave our cat a bath today,

The first he’s ever had…

To shampoo his fleas away

I expected he’d be rather mad.

Prepared the kitchen sink, I did,

‘Twas a short notice thing at best….

He wasn’t very happy at first

And that I can attest!

I gently but firmly held his neck

While bathing with a wash cloth…

Warm water and flea shampoo well-mixed

That he couldn’t quickly lick off.

We splashed around onto the floor

Soapy water (with towels for that)…

I washed what I could, the water went brown,

And we had a soppy wet cat!

His Missey came along with a towel,

Enveloping him in its folds….

The towel got as brown as the water,

Surprising all the dirt that he holds.

Our kitty cat’s had his bathing,

And I got some bathing too…

Sure hope that it helps our baby feel better

And that all the fleas exit too!

  1. lol our dog (Jack Russel) gave the cat a bath also he picked it up dropped him in the toilet and shut the lid, sorry but it was a riot, NO animal was harmed during this event! and enjoyed this write had to share this

    • EEEEEYYYEEEWWW! POOR CAT! DID THE DOG LICK THE CAT’S FUR DRY AFTERWARD? OUR TIPPIE CAT DRINKS OUT OF THE TOILET—BRACING HIMSELF SO I CAN’T PUSH HIM IN OR SLIP IN HIMSELF. NO WONDER HE GETS HIS SHIRTFRONT WET!

      • our Jack has as weird sense of humor but he would not hurt the cat

  2. Neither would I…which I guess Tippie realized. He was willing to accept a hug, even from me—and he acts and feels much better now!
