Signed in Blood   In days of old you spoke in visions and dreams, To your faithful people your spirit was seen. You bestowed your strength on the very young, You rose up a young man to get the job done.   You found David your servant and anointed him; Your hand gave him strength and sustained him. Your faithful love was with him to show him the way; You were his God to whom he would kneel and pray.   Even in tender years he heard and answered your call; He knew his adversaries you would defeat, large or small. Your faithful love is with him, your name he will proclaim; He will call out to you, “Father” and he will praise you name.   Your child calls to you, my God, my Rock my Savior; It is in your mercy and grace that I have found favor. You have appointed him most exalted of kings of the lands; So deep is your love for him that your covenant still stands.   As your love still stands for David it still stands for us; You loved us so much you sent your Son to die for us.
