A BLESSING IN THE FLESH


A BLESSING IN THE FLESH!

 

On Saturday our friend Deb,

Helped untangle a web…

Of exhaustion and fleas

With compassionate ease,

Even offered for a nap, her bed.

The bed was unoccupied

So the one could close his eyes…

While two ladies talked

The laundry line squawked,

Wet laundry in the wind quickly dries.

A nice luncheon served,

With almond butter hor d’oeuvres..

With Deb’s aplomb

They finally succumbed

To letting her be their nurse.

An afternoon away from a dwelling

That was being bug-bombed and smelling….

Like a chemical mess,

A refreshing digress

Restored hope with a lot less yelling.

(They took the cat with them too, of course!)
