LOCAL JOINT

LOCAL JOINT

It seems every city has a street

Where local generations go to eat…

Around Worcester*, Mass.

Several places pass

As the kind of place where guys would want to eat.

I do not read ESQUIRE MAGAZINE,

But recent coverage came clean…

That GEORGE’S CONEY ISLAND

Was featured as the island

For generations…since 1918.

With hotdogs,soda, beer and hamburgers

They satisfy hungry noon berzerkers…

The interior is panelled,

You wear with what you’re flanneled—

Go grab an armful “up”** with Worcester fervor!!!

NOTES:  *Worcester is pronounced “Wuh-stah” or Wiss-steh” around this neck of the woods.

**An armful “up” is three or more dogs with chili sauce, mustard and fresh-chopped onion.
