SUNDAY RETURN

Pastor called the other day,

Knowing long I’d been away…

Wanted me know they care

Even when we’re not there

And when we can, come back Sunday.

Somehow made it despite pressing needs,

Decided to match my faith with deeds…

Got to church before th’offeratory,

Caught the last praise songs about  Christ’s glory

And cleaned my heart of weeds.
