Wings of snow
The angels with their wings of snow,
Like a thousand candles their halos glow.
The spirits guide them through the rays of light
With sounds of love they are guided right.
To the earthbound humans down below
To the doors of heaven the angels show.
From the beaches, valleys and mountain tops
Their endless task does never stop.
The task of guiding departing souls from earth
To heaven above, a peaceful worth.
Family, friends you shared in life’s test
Through your journey you did your best.
And when it ends as all things do
The angels are there waiting just for you.
And while we are here we pray for a sign
To bring peace and love to all mankind.
Especially during the holiday season
The Christ child was born, what a perfect reason.
In loving memory for family that has been shown the way by the heavenly angels, may they rest in peace.
Dedicated to Lawrence A DuBour who passed December 26, 2012 our brother.
LOVE THE POEM—LOVE THE PICTURE! They keep changing my posting and media settings, so it’s much harder to import fresh illustrations or center my work! Anyone else writing with you now?

sorry for your loss but he’s in a much better place now. Lost a sister on the same day – several years ago now, and it still sticks in my chest like a knife.
I know there’s nothing one can say but may you find solace. peace.

you are very welcome! This was read at my sister’s memorial service, and I’ve kept a copy ever since that reading, as it gave me some peace.
“Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the snow on the mountain’s rim,
I am the laughter in children’s eyes,
I am the sand at the water’s edge,
I am the gentle Autumn rain,
When you awaken in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the star that shines at night,
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.”

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.
