Good morning to everyone! Starting today Saturday through Thursday, Fridays will be for American Heroes. I will post a work from my Christmas Collection of poetry until the end of December. Hope you will enjoy and a very joyous Holiday season to all!
Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus
To believe is not ridiculous
In Santa Claus or Saint Nicholas
The night before Christmas
We hear the bells jingle
It is Father Christmas, Sisterklass
Or Kris Kringle.
In western cultures
He is historic
Magical, mythical
And folkloric.
Once a year he brings
Gifts to all the good children
The night before Christmas
When the air is a Chillan.
For all the good boys
For all the good girls.
Santa brings gifts
All over the world.
December 24th it’s
Christmas eve.
With his sleigh and
Eight reindeers
Packed with presents
To leave.
Depicted as portly, joyous
A white bearded man
Dropping off joy
To everyone in all lands.
He wears a red coat
With white collar and cuffs
On this one night a year
He can not do enough.
Tradition says Santa lives
At the North Pole
With magical elves
This I was told.
He makes out a list
Who was naughty or nice
With the aid of his reindeers
He flies through the night.
Delivering presents
Even candy and toys
To well behaved children
Every girl and boy.
Not resting till done
Not even to pause
Yes Virginia there
Is a real Santa Clause!
