“It Started with a Kiss”

Ever so softly on my lips
It started with a kiss
Violins playing
Our bodies swaying
Enchanting music playing
Our lips moist with sweetest nectar

It started with a kiss
Hand in hand, strolling on the beach
Gentle waves embracing our ankles
Making us dizzy as they retreat into the sea
Breathlessly clinging with my arms around his waist
The world spinning around, and around at high speed

It started with a kiss
From across the room I could see,
his sharp intake of breath as I blew him a kiss
He caught and placed it on his heart
In a breath he was beside me, placed my palm on his heart
And whispered, “Feel what you do to me”

It started with a kiss
Then he reached inside his jacket
Presented me with a velvet gift
A sapphire ring inside
On his knee,
Too my yes, he slipped it on my finger with ease
