KADAMPA TREE~by Indira Sadanandan

Who stole
Curd butter and cake from my swinging shelf ?
Who startled me
While having my bath in Yamuna river ,
By robbing my attire and climbing up
The tree with it ?
Who lifted me up and took me
Behind the kadampa tree
With the passionate urge of a tiger ?
I know, Krishna
It was nobody else but you

Now sitting inside a temple
Silently playing your flute
You make others harass me
With the pestering microphone misuse
To close my ears and mind
In this month of May
