A mind of her own~by Mark Muthiora

A mind of her own

The pen has a mind of her own
For when I hold her she takes me on a journey
Across deserts and the Seven Seas we soar
To places hither undiscovered
At once Aladdin and Sinbad.

The pen has secrets of her own
For when I hold her she whispers to me
About lost love and morning ghosts
The machinations of the devil and other sightings
She is sombre and I feel for her.

The pen has a personality hard to define
Sometimes regular, other times erratic
She jumps from this to that
And all I can do is my best
Guide her and bring order into her writings.
