Sometimes these things just pour

Out like water and more…

Straight at the gate,

Appreciate

The effort, with more in store!

There was a time a time in the past

When he could write really fast…

Now older still

It’s a matter of will,

Takes longer to prepare the repast.

Dreaming about a girl

He wants to give a whirl…

But his wife

Might take his life,*

He’d better not act–to be sure!

–

Poets use limericks

Exposing various topics…

Two lines in the middle

With which they can fiddle,

And a last line to deliver kicks!
