Hanging by a thread
My life dangles from a friendless thread,
No support, no helping hands.
Gripping onto a life so dead,
Only my heart understands.
My heart knows there is always hope,
There is a better life out there,
My heart wants me to hold on,
But I don’t know if I dare.
My life is all but diminished,
There is nothing left to revive,
Hanging from that thin thin thread,
I don’t know if I will survive.
Then from out a no where,
A hand reaches down,
It grabs my arm and pulls me up,
And it sets me gently down.
My Lord looks down upon me,
And he says but only one word.
I know that I must continue on
With this life that has become so blurred.
That one word has changed my life,
I now can take on all the wraith,
That one word keeps me living.
That one word is simply “Faith”.
