FLUTTERING~by Indira Sadanandan

FLUTTERING

A solitary dream
Wandered in the expanse
Of my sleep
With droopy eyes
Shabby attire and
Withered hair, outside
Of her destination.
A butterfly came in fluttering.
My body was dormant
No muse did awaken it.
I stretched my hand to touch her
Wanted to caress her
But she was far beyond my reach
My tumultuous space
Couldn’t comprehend
A beautiful dream
That it is a field pertaining to war
With wild thoughts
Unsatisfied needs and
Firmantative desires.
I held back my hand,
Opened my eyes;
The central body of the solar system
Was shedding
Electro magnetic radiation
From energy changes
Through my window sash.
I woke up to my days.
