Do you have a lifetime?~by Rikki Bertrand

Do you have a lifetime?

May I take a moment?
A moment of your time,
Just a few seconds,
For this little rhyme.

Can I have a minute?
To look into your eyes,
To gather the courage,
To voice a surprise.

Can I have an hour?
To lay with you alone,
Just the two of us,
So we can atone.

Can I have a day with you?
To hold you in my arms
To kiss and hold you,
To show you my charms.

Can I have a year?
To show you my love,
Inside and outside,
Tell you what I’m thinking of.

Give me your lifetime
And the rest will not matter,
I will kindle your heart and soul
From here to ever after.
