‘People of the Forest’~by Mary Cecil

‘People of the Forest’

I live their dreams,
I am the keeper of their hearts
My soul is their soul
And all that is

The tales they told
The ancient ones
The dreaming dreamers
My children,their children

Mighty river,giver of life
That sings in our hearts
The song of the forest
Wild and free

Oh! mighty wind
We hear you come
To sweep us away
And be no more

We send our prayers
That Gods will give
Wisdom to the hearts
Like a river to the world

And they will know,
The law givers
That we are one,
Who dreams your dream
