WHEN I SING A SONG~by Rajendra Padhi

WHEN I SING A SONG

The flowers sway in fragrance
The breeze laughs gaily on dew
When I sing a song.

The peacock flings the feather
The fawn freaks in a dance
When I sing a song.

Somewhere the cloud bursts
The thunder plays the drum
When I sing a song.

The wind curls and twirls
Slowly the words of music born
When I sing a song.

Oh! My dear I sing a song
Bloated in your dream
Though fading summer forbids,
A marvel on ridges and ravines
Thrills birds in hide outs
When I sing a song.

A stopover-joy is never scrappy
An itinerary draws up destination new
Hurtles a song I never knew.

Composed and copy right by Rajendra K. Padhi
