A Shallow Life
are we living life in it’s shallowness
that we have forgotten its tenderness?
have we chosen a path of foolishness?
pursue an illusion of grandeurness?
we keep insisting to live on the edge.
from image of our true selves, we diverge.
and our beings, to its lies we wedge.
the warnings from our conscience, we hedge.
fate shall come calling for a time to purge.
all our soul’s ailments flow out in surge.
everything we did and desired will merge,
and their worthlessness in life shall emerge.
how long would our enlightenment stay,
if normality has returned today?
will all the good plans of life change we lay
be forgotten, and just left to decay?
we are living life in it’s shallowness.
we have forgotten life with tenderness.
we have chosen a path of foolishness.
pursueing illusions of grandeurness.
