‘When Velvet Darkness Falls’

When velvet darkness falls
And stars drift through crystal skies
As dreaming time is waiting
I think of you

Worlds within worlds
Wheeling through the heavens
As I wonder where you are
Through the spellbound beauty

Could time pause and wait
And carry my heart to you
In chariots of the Gods
With wheels on fire

Before dawn’s breaking light
As shooting stars cascade
Through the stealing darkness
To heavenly heights of longing
