THE DUSK~by Indira Sadanandan

THE DUSK

I was standing
On the threshold of a steep hill
Alone
Evening
The setting Sun sent his rays
Through the branches of trees
For me to hold and climb up
Birds flapped their wings and
Flown above my head
Clouds were moving fast as if
They wanted to reach home
Before the sunset
The moo of the animals filled
My mind with the feeling
Of loneliness
I was leaning on the trunk
Of a small tree
It’s branches hanging with
Bunches of flowers
I was amazed to see a cloud
Slowly coming down ,walking
Towards me and covered me
With it’s sticky smoke.
Suddenly all the visuals
In front of me disappeared
I was uplifted from the ground,
Was in the hold of the cloud.
My soul was being embraced
By a soft touch
I became a solution,my self
Was joined with the calmness
As sugar in the milk.
