Out of the Freeze~by Rik Bertrand

Out of the Freeze

Dormant and without thought,
Frozen in animated state.
Fissures form from loneliness,
Threatening to spate.

What comes from suffrages,
Being bound and rudely tauten,
How does one find its freedom?
After being tossed and forgotten.

Self pity will not heal the wounds,
Nor will vengeance warm the heart.
Once dormant, but now full of thought,
The mind finds a place to start.

Free bindings, mold washed away,
A new life must take on play.
First recovery, then onward ho….
With love and smiles that start the day.

Life can fall into a deep dark hole,
It can become lost and meaningless,
But hope and faith can pave the way,
Out of the hole and onto success.
