SWEET HOME… SO FAR!
The city has many skyscrapers
The windows are locked for sunlight,
The door opens for voices at eves
The grain of laughter never sways,
Steps are quick for the bed of a creek
The saddle blanket covers the faces
Faded like the flowers on dusty vase.
Children quick for school to grow wise
Father hurries to office located far
Mother departs bounded for her job
Life is too fast moving like an engine
Swings in a relation of give and take,
Bury us in desires even doing wrong
Our home like a pack of cards fall
We bitterly weep when we grow in age.
Like corpses we are mute for love to live
Our children starve for our tender touch,
We dream of birds singing on windows
The spring’s swelling bosom in our garden
But never to find it forever feasting eyes
Our sweet homes are so distant, so far!
