‘The Dying of the Light’~by Mary Cecil

‘The Dying of the Light’

The sorrow of the moment
The breaking of the spirit that struggles
The loneliness of being alone
Within the circles of your mind

The social being who longs for answers
The craving to accept the limitations
The cruelties of human indifference
The longing to unwind

Where are the answers to existence
The meaning in being
The misunderstood
The torture of our time

No answers to the questions
No talent can suffice
The mountains of doubt
The price for humankind
