‘Wide Horizons’~by Mary Cecil

‘Wide Horizons’

Wide horizons gleaming,
Splendid silver seas
Cool and enticing,
A longing in me

Shall I fly onwards
Where wild winds blow?
Dancing on the distance,
Where sweet waters flow

Or linger in longing,
For the great unknown
Already in moments,
In dreams I’ve flown

I’ve travelled to places
So close yet so far,
Longing to find you,
Wherever you are

And will you be there
And waiting for me?
As I travel onwards
To the horizons I see
