“Yesterdays”~by Leon A. Walker

“Yesterdays”

Panicked frazzled and confused
I was in pain so many yesterdays
Grappling with hollow worldly concerns
And threats of contrived discontent

And then I paused

To consider the worst of outcomes
And I realized
That these were faux disasters of self-made imagery
The poison of imagined powerlessness

And then I remembered

That I was at the controls
And when I met the storm head on
I found there were always solutions
And blue skies beyond the cloudy illusions

Yesterdays are simply the sunsets
Announcing the dawnings of our new tomorrows
