JUSTICE~by Gaudencio Balongcas

A man committed a crime.
He was sentenced accordingly.
It is based from the legal aspects.
Justice is served.

Another man was accused of doing a crime.
He did not commit anyone.
He was proven guilty.
It was a mock trial.

He served in the penitentiary.
It was a suffering and hell for ten years.
He lost his honor and dignity.
The most painful, he lost his family.

He was sick and dying.
His faithful friend visited him.
He told him he will be released soon.
The true criminal will be convicted.

He died one day after being released from the prison.
On his tomb was written as he requested:
“Justice delayed, justice denied”.
Justice is not served!
